Sure. You clowns can laugh. But tab has been used in classical music
for centuries. And it IS common for someone to tab out a piece or
section! I'm talking about piano music where tiny numbers are placed
by the notes showing which fingers you use to play them. It's
essentially tab. And virtuosos often give their versions of fingering
on difficult pieces.
