O/T - Guitar hero

Had a chance to spend some time with this in between food courses at
Christmas...The kids had a guitar and drum set. Kind of fun to play
along...Do you think that this sort of interactive music software has
at least some form of "value" in attracting people to music, or at the
very least may be useful to teach them the fundamentals of rhytm?
Clearly, it will never replace a formal/informal education and live
playing (I hope..)
