Who makes a good hollow body bass guitar??
Lakland makes a really good one. If you can't afford the US Lakland
their Skyline version is also excellent.

The Lakland site doesn't mention the Dark Star pup option, which may
be OOP.
Chi-Sonic pup's v. the old Barts, you'll have to research that, too,
if you're thinking about buying one of these.
There has been a Hollowbody (perhaps several, serially <g>) hanging on
the wall at the Bass Emporium for some time now. One bass that I have
left unplayed for fear of all-consuming, undeniable GAS. --D-y
Are those actually a "hollow body?" or a "Thin-line?"
(quote from Bassplayer mag review):
<Mike's mods include foregoing hollowbodies' traditional arm-creasing
binding and instead carving a comfortable, elegantly contoured body
that balances well strapped on or played seated. It's a bit heavier
than some vintage models; since the Lakland is fully hollow with no
supporting centerblock, Tobias had to devise a body with enough mass
to be structurally sound while still offering the requisite resonance-
and with minimal feedback.>
Not feedback-free, from further on in the review.
Seems I read another review that said the "HoBo" is maybe not exactly
a "do everything" bass.
However, still very appealing to a kid who started playing ca. the
British Invasion (Chas Chandler, Wyman) and I've left the Lakland on
the wall, looking very nice while it waits to wag its tail and go home
with someone. Even the Skyline is fairly 'spensive. And I have an
early EB2 with a missing plastic pup cover ('59? '60? something like
that). IOW, yes, I'd like to own a "hobo" that um, actually works on
the bandstand <g>.
Gretsch offers a hollowbody bass, too, while we're at it.
