Got a call lat week to sub on a classic rock gig. Band is all pro
players,
but fronted by a "singer songwriter" guy. Material is basic classic
rock
that we've all played 1000 times before played for stone shitfaced
drunks.

Get a call today. The gig is CANCELLED because the drummer had a
medical
emergency and subbed it to another one of our friends. Singer is
freaked out
that there will be 2 "subs" on the gig - who he KNOWS are from the
same
circle of players - and cancels. Damn, I could have used that money
too.
