You guys set yourself up with a paternalistic quasi socialist government
whereby you ceded control of many of your individual freedoms to the state.
For a variety of reasons, we didn't. Simple as that.

Nope not unbelievable. We've been watching the slow demise of the once
mighty British Empire and the Rights of Englishmen for sometime now. A
country that now emulates North Korea with cameras and loudspeakers on
every corner complete with bureaucrats who yell at you if you drop a
gum wrapper on the sidewalk. A country where once a gentleman carried
a sword as a badge of honor, now bans pointy sticks and arrests,
convicts and jails a home owner for shooting burglars who invaded his
home and threatened his life. The burglars of course are praised and
go free. The proposed death of the "free speech" of live music is just
the latest icing on the police state cake. WTF indeed!

You guys would now be better off if the Nazis had crossed the Channel
and won the war... Um, unless you play jazz, of course...


I could write a similar description of life in the States
but I wouldn't presume....
Tell me where Utopia is and I'll go form a band there.
All countries have stupid laws and the EU add more.
This one is home-grown though.
