I'm using a Revolution Solo pickup from Upton Bass (www.uptonbass.com) and
it works great with my crappy old Englehart - I run it directly to my AI
Clarus - no pre - and it sounds great. Pretty cheap, and real easy to
install. (This might have been what Boom was referring to last year?)
Works for me...

Does anyone know anything about upright bass pickups? What are the good
brands? What is a fairly inexpensive one?

My nephew wants one for his bass and asked me, but I am strictly an
electric bass guitar player.
