Active or Passive input when using effects

Hey Group

Currently I'm running my LTD active bass through a few effects units
before the amp input (nothing in the effects loop). Currently the
signal path is
Bass -> Korg DT10 tuner -> Boss Bass EQ (Almost always on) - > Boss
Limiter-Enhancer (always on) -> Big Muff Pi -> Beheinger Hellbabe Wah -
MXR Chrous - > Amp (Ashdown MAG 300 410 combo).

Now until recently i've run to the Low input (active pad). However
just today it hit me that maybe i should be running to the High input
(no pad) because the effect of the PreAmp is taken out by the stomp
boxes....

Am i barking up the wrong tree?
