Rotosounds don`t fit (34" scale bass - long scale rotosounds have fluffy red
muting stuff in the nut, tried shaving the strings but not good)
Trouble is, I like DRs but they`re a bit pricey!

What bass do you have - my Ric 34" scale has plenty of room at the
nut. Maybe you need xlong scale - they make em.. Pony up and get the
DRs if that's what you like though. skip a few beer - it's not that
much more is it ?worth it if thats what you like ehhh ? ed s.
Speaking of rotosound, has anyone tried these: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Rotosound-RS88LD-Trubass-Bass-Strings?sku=102810 I like the idea, but they're so fat I would have to replace a nut to even try them. If I did that, would it be best just to buy a spare nut to start with and cut it to fit these strings? Anybody tried these?
