See, I knew no matter how gently I phrased it, people were going to takethat's because basically you are saying it's a waste of time
it
wrong...
and it may very well be
the guy i have been recording with for the past 3 years got laid off from
his job
he had been telling me that things have been slow at work so he worked on
the band's myspace page and had accumulated thousands of *friends* who will
be potential CD buyers. i finally checked out the page and yes the tunes
were posted, but the theme of the page was all this new age spiritual
baloney. and none one of the friends wrote a single word about the music.
all this groovy piece and luv cosmo gumbo. when he lost the job he said he
was going to go 100% at selling the music and wanted to discuss heavily a
business plan. i said show me the first dollar and we'll work something
out.
point being that lots of *musicians* live in dream worlds. you can't take
what anybody says about their game plan at face value. it ain't happening
unless it's happening.
anyway - i'm jammin with some old buddies and a new guy (named buddy)
tonight so i need to tidy up the studio... hey, my son digs it.
