Now that you mention it, I should have mentioned the few things that every
bass suffers from:
1. Dead spots on the neck. Every bass I've owned has had a dead note - not
necessarily a spot as much as a resonant note that is dead, no matter where
on the neck it's played. I've read this is inherent in wooden-neck
instruments, and graphite is immune, but I could never afford a
graphite-neck bass.
2. Neck-heavy balance. What's a bass without being neck-heavy? That would be
too weird.
