Can I just ask at this point how many people taking part in this
discussion know someone who is blind, deaf, paraplegic or has any

It just seems odd that so many people are basing their comments on
biographies of famous people, rather than from actually knowing or
working with people with disabilities.
Which strikes me as kind of odd really. Although par for the course I
guess.
Yes, Derek, I do. And, none of this thread strikes me as odd, because it's par for the course for certain individuals to raise absolutely absurd, pointless arguments to everything -- just because that's what they do here. That's all they do here.
Claiming that blindness is not a disadvantage? Hey, that's nothing for our regular pointless argument crew. They're just getting warmed up.
For the record, and hopefully the last time.
I wasn't arguing that blindness isn't a disadvantage.
I was arguing that blindness wasn't a disadvantage for Ray Charles.
That's why my argument was based on his biography. Because I was talking about him and him only. If you guys really want the argument to die down, you stop mentioning it.

Who can't believe you guys who can't believe the arguing in here.
