There will be a clamor about how this is impossible, but it brings up another point about alternative fuels. The main rejection you hear about each of them is that XYZ won't replace oil.
So what?
The less we depend on oil, the better. We don't need to replace oil entirely, just keep our usage to a manageable level.
We've either forgotten about making compromises in our personal wants to
achieve a greater goal, or we don't care enough about it.
It just doesn't hurt enough yet.
