Re: Peavey Torsion Rod Wrench

Old topic - Peavey used to use a thin-walled 5/32" socket to adjust
the truss rod. Peavey called it a torsion rod, and the tool is a
torsion rod wrench.

Quick search of Google reveals the part number is 75031006. The price
used to be $5.

I called Peavey 5 times over the last week and they hung up on me 4
times. The fifth time a nice lady answered the phone and told me that
the torsion rod wrench (same part number) is $18.99.

In other circumstances I would have accepted that prices increase and
paid Peavey the money since I'm normally a fan of Peavey. I own 2
Peavey basses, 2 Peavey speaker cabinets, 1 Peavey solid-state guitar
combo and 1 Peavey all-tube combo. But since they hung up on me 4
times in the last week, they are not currently on my good side.

If anybody from Peavey lurks on this board, please take note. I
bought a lot of Peavey equipment over the years and you guys hung up
on me 4 times in a row. I need a mixer for my home studio and I just
decided to spend the extra bucks on a Mackie. I'm trying to buy
something from you and you hung up on me 4 times in a row.

If anybody has a Peavey torsion rod wrench, part number 75031006, and
will sell it to me for $15 or less, please email me.

Sorry that's 5/16" socket. With a little more searching, Stew-mac
appears to have something that might work. If anybody can confirm/
deny whether those will work I would appreciate it.
