The band owner/manager is proud to annouce that there is now a website
up and running for the band. I clicked the link and almost got an
heart attack. I knew he had paid someone to do it... Being a
programmer, I am doing some web stuff and I know most to the web
technologies. I am not an infographist though. My artistic skills are
100% on music, not visual arts, but I know when something looks awfully
amateur. That website looks like it was done in Word 97, not kidding.
There are like 20 french mistakes. When you go look at the pictures,
you can't go back to the main site... there is no online demo... it
sucks.
So, I am planning to create a website for that band, nothing fancy,
maybe in Flash, and show it to the manager.
Any good looking band's website that I could be inspired from? (or even
steal the design...)
Oh, yeah, for you that are willing to have a laugh:www.thewondersband.ca

Sorry man, I have to agree with you when you say it sucks.
There is nothing to tell me what is navigatable on the site. When I
hover over Membres for instance I get nothing, but the other juke
boxes are links, yet nothing lets me know they are links. Maybe the
French tells me something, sorry I cannot read it.
It is a hard position for me to be in sometimes. I have people all the
time asking me to critic their sites, and it really is hard because
you know people have put in a lot of work for it, yet their design and
themes suck.
I wish you luck on doing something better. I have found in instances
like this it is sometimes better to not say anything.
