Hey everyone I have made the decision to take my tax rebate in July
and buy a new bass rig. I want to keep it in the $2000 range. I've
been leaning towards one of three heads but am open to suggestions.
THe 3 I have been leaning towards are Gallien Krueger's 1001 RB, Ampeg
SVT Pro3 or Pro 4, or Mesa Boogie's 750. I also am thinking about
going with all 10" bottoms, but am not sure. Right now I run a 4x10
and a 1x15. Anyway I really could use some bass educated opinions so
please reply to this post one and all.

Thank you, Flava Dave

By the way I play in a hard rock cover band as well as record with an
alternative metal band that writes in dropped C tuning. -Flava Dave

I play in a mental band with a drop Q tuning. Like the perfect sack.
Awesome, dude! You may want to check out the Genz Benze 1200. It
really stacks up well with the amps you speak of. Good amps, all. But
take a moment with the Genz. You may be very surprised. Well, actually
you'll blow your fucking mind. But, really, that's a story for a later
date.
