Yo, playin' with Miss Kelly, eh? I auditioned for that gig! I'll have
to come check you guys out! ;-)
Wow, what a small world! Miss Kelly is a cool lady, she has a lot of
fun on the stage. My only real complaint is that we're doing the exact same
show every single night and I'm getting sick of it. But it's not the kind
of band where you can just call out tunes and do them, or show up to the gig
and play something we haven't rehearsed. It's a good gig though, and Kelly
always gets the crowd into it.
I have a new band that has our first gig on April 10th, at the White
Eagle. It's a trio: piano / vocals, bass, and drums. We're doing mostly
funky New Orleans flavored music and some very odd covers. It's all either
in that Louisiana style, super quirky, or a "instrumental freakout" where we
stretch out and do our thing. We're calling it Atomic Gumbo.
If you come out to see Nobody's Bizness come up and say hey!
