I currently have DR Long Necks on my Schecter. For reasons I'll never
understand, the D'Addario XLs I'd been using on a previous 35" 5er
were too short; they tapered before the nut even though both basses
had top-load bridges. Go figger.

Anyway, is there a different *very* long string that you'd recommend?

Have you tried D'addario XL Super Long Scale?
