Having moved last year from guitar to bass, I am not yet familiar

Last December I bought a bass from someone... the strings are old but I
like
their sound and especially the way they feel. If I could at least
figure out
what brand they are, it would help me a lot and I could then
investigate
further.
The only thing that I hope helps a bit is the red threading at the
bridge
end, and the dark blue on the headstock side. I hope that's distinctive
enough but I haven't been lucky searching online.
As they say an image is worth a thousand words...
here's the headstockwww.mcnach.com/Band/Fotos/CorvetteSS_hstock.jpg
and here's the bridgewww.mcnach.com/Band/Fotos/CorvetteSS_misc1.jpg
Any ideas what strings are these?
and since I was here already, here's the full thing, with its

Hope I ain't jumping the gun, best wait for the experts,
but they look just like my Rotosounds, except mine are red
at both ends. Do they feel a little bit rawer against the
fingers than other strings, with a bit of an edge to their
sound? I was pleasantly surprised by those, reckon I'll
get them again next time.
No, the opposite, they feel a bit smoother than others I've tried. Right
now I have Warwick's own (EMP, stainless steel) on the other Corvette and
those are clearly rougher and I'm not crazy about them soundwise either.
I have some D'Addarios (Nickel EXL160, 50-105) and some Rotosounds
(Nickel, Swing66, 45-105) to try, but they're still in the package... so
they may be nice. These Rotosounds are blue at both ends (a paler kind of
blue) and the construction does not seem the same, so I doubt the ones on
the pictures are Rotosounds... I don't know.

type of string - my RS66LDs are red at each end.
Thanks, yes that's what I'm finding.
So which company uses dark blue at the nut end and red at the bridge end (as
in teh pictures I linked to)?
Someone told me Elites are that way... so I'm going to find some of those. I
see they make some "groundwounds" that sound interesting...
