Re: 2 Questions: How to simulate music notation in text communication? How accurately to cover hit songs?

So let me get this straight: You want me to killfile YOU because I can't
make heads or tails of what the hell you're on about? I don't know why
you're mad at me for that.

PS: It's hard to be a "snide expert" when the original post is
indecipherable. It seems your problems with me extend well beyond a single
post anyway. Oh well...take a number.

Don't be such a goober, Dude. Just learn to write the King's English.

Ya know, John, I really respect your experience and musical knowlege,
and the talent that I imagine lies beneath them. I'd like to respect
you as a courteous, helpful individual, but I'm not there yet.

Meanwhile, if you would please just killfile me, I won't have to
endure the bad taste in my mouth from your snide replies, but I'll
still be able absorb any knowlege I can gain by reading your replies
to other people. I've learned a lot that way.

I spend a lot of time in newsgroups and message boards for whitewater
canoeing and kayaking, where ***I'm*** the expert, and I frequently
see messages from clueless newbies. I sure hope I don't make them
feel as bad as you have tried to make me feel on several occasions,
but I'll take your example as a reminder to be really careful to be as
gracious as I can be in my replies.

Funny, I was thinking the other day, since I will be looking for a new
job after the first of the year, that if I had an interview in
Charlotte I would try to hear you play, and perhaps meet you on your
break. I have scores of boating friends and hundreds of acquantances
from the Appalachians to the Rockies, and even abroad, whom I have met
online and subsequently arranged to meet in real life. 'Course some
of the boaters I encounter online are assholes, so I avoid meeting
them IRL.
