Re: Van Halen Train Wreck


Had a minor private trainwreck a few years ago when I started the bass
intro
to "Badge" in the wrong key. Didn't have a clue till the rest of the band
attempted to jump in. Fortunately I was able to recover but I was told my
face was beet red for most of the rest of the song.



Did that once for Sweet Emotion. It started right after another number,
while we were in the dark. Couldn't see the frets, and had to guess where to
play it. I shifted the half-step down when the lights came on, and the other
guys were laughing but nobody else noticed.
