Oh sheee-it, then drill away to yer hearts content. I have a '57 re-issue Pre and when I've talked about it always said "re-issue" and
it didn't register what "RI" in the original meant. I thought we were talking about the real thing. It did seem kinda weird to me I (the instrument butcher) was the only one who thought it was a bad idea to drill holes in a real '75 Jazz. My "RI" pre is 23 years old and I don't think it would sell for more than a new one would today....the investment value of these things is slim to none.
