What am I missing?

I play lead guitar, but I found I needed a bass to lay down a backing
track. I figured I would only really need it the once, so I would buy
something really cheap - hopefully to make it sound a little better
with effects. I paid 79 pounds for a Fender copy called a Legacy, with
twin pickups.

So now what do I do? The pickups are great, the neck is perfect - I
can adjust the action way down without any buzzing. It came fitted
with really nice d'Addario strings and it just sounds brilliant.

So come on, tell me why I should have spent and extra grand or so on
the real thing? I must be missing something.
