Random, Unimportant Comment

For the last three weeks, I've been playing in a musical called 'The Taffetas,' which is based on '50s girl-group music. Lots of fun, and tailor-made for the ol' P-Bass with flats. So, that's all I've been playing for that time.

Last night, went to a rehearsal with a band I'm subbing for, and grabbed the Spector 5-string, with Rotosound 66s on it. Hadn't played it in a long time. Holy cats, that thing is alive! I know it's just because of the contrast with the P, but my god, the Spector is like a wild animal, you pluck it and it just jumps -- it's like a fast horse, you give it a kick and it just runs! Wow, that was fun.

Can you tell I like my Spectors?
