Interestingly, I joined a band that professed to be a 70's Arena Rock
band. After a time, I figured out what they really meant was
1968-1978. When I would suggest songs from 1979, or even late 78,
they'd say "Yeah, that's kinda out of our time period" which I
couldn't understand at first.
Now I get it.
For me, "70's Rock" fits a lot of stuff recorded in 1968, and "80's
Rock" seems to start around 1978 or so.
I can see why someone would call Sultan's and Paradise 80's songs...
but they really aren't! lol
