Dude, did you really have to go there? Safety is your number 1 reason
to go wireless? Man, you just don't quit.
He brings up an excellent benefit to wireless though that a lot of
people overlook.

The electrical isolation it affords is nothing to sneeze at given how
venues from professionally run touring acts to the shithole bar with
teh scary power outlets routinely miswire things. People die because
of electrocution...
When I go to a new club, I take my little yellow 3-light tester and my
ohmmeter, and if it ain't right, we go home. If we can find
one circuit that *is* right, we use that. But I really haven't had a
bad one show up since the mid 90s.

Exactly... ANYONE who doesn't do this is asking for trouble...

...and I don't care how vintage your amp is, you'd better have a three
prong with chassis grounded plug on it.

And, when I find that good outlet, I run everything out of a single
powerstrip from that outlet. Having everything going to the same ground
helps prevent noise.

....and not having hot/neutral or neutral/ground reversed to one piece of
equipment and not the other helps keep people from dying.

Even using a bad outlet isn't necessarily that bad - it's when some stuff
is on one wired bad, and other stuff is on one wired good (or differently
bad) that is really bad trouble.
