I got a bass that has strings made to the Fender headstock length.
Anyone know what thery are?
I like that.
Of course what has gone unsaid is that all Fender owners cut their own
strings to length.... regardless of which manufacturer one chooses.
In fact few bass players don't cut their strings a little bit. It *has*
been said that one ought not cut the string length for some reason or
another but I don't subscribe to that theory..... In short a good pair
of diagonal cutters are your friend, which of course will now spark a
debate over whether carbon steel cutter are better than carbide edged
tools or some such silliness. Being a cyclist I use Park Cable cutters
simply because I have them.
I would prefer a laser cutter myself. But, then, I'm a bit extreme in
that way.
