No, not a chance, Clive. Just as your drives always look worst from the
tee and when you get to the ball, things look a lot better, you'll find
that your situation isn't so dire after the work is done. You won't give
up, it might take some real guts and determination, but it won't take as
much as you think right now. You'll be playing again before you know it.

I don't do golf (played at a lot of golf club dances!)
but I understand your analogy.
Since 2003 I've played through 2 frozen shoulders and
this poxy arm problem and got through it so suppose I'm feeling
nervous and a tad negative about the future right now which
is somewhat uncertain.
As we have gigs booked ahead it will motivate me to
get back on the bass when I get the OK and that could be months.
Ah well.
