Hi,
I'm planning to buy a bass effect.
Wherever I've looked, I've found really good comments about Tech 21
Sans Amp Bass Driver DI, so I decided to buy it.
I wouldn't call the SansAmp an effect. It's more a preamp.
Tech 21 SANSAMP RBI.
It's a rack effect from the same firm. It is described just like the
Bass Driver DI and it seems to have something more. I've never heard
about it before.
Someone can give me some impressions about it?
The RBI (rack) version of the bass SansAmp has a dedicated mid button.
On the stompboxes, you cannot directly adjust the mid, just low and
high.
Do you suggest me the Tech 21 Sans Amp Bass Driver DI or the Tech 21
SANSAMP RBI.
(NB: I've already a rack in my equipment).
If you want it to stay in the rack, go with the rack version. I went
for the 3 channel programmable version of it. I like it. I can swicth
sounds by stomping on it.
I'd like to post you another question.
Both Bass driver DI and RBI can't be connected directly to a passive
speaker (isn't it?). Do you connect it to an AMP or do you think there
is a rack effect that can be use in place of the head?
You have to connect it to an amp. It is just a preamp/speaker
simulator thing.
I have a question in return. What do you want to acheive? What kind
of music do you play? Do you need lots of distortion? Why are you
saying you need a bass "effect"? Too much money in your pocket?
