This is at least music-related, if not bass-related. Every now and then,
you hear a song that just stops you dead in your tracks, it just makes
your little light shine? Happened to me with a couple of songs lately.
One is Dolly Parton's version of the old Johnny Cash song, "I Still Miss
Someone." Slower than the original, sad, sweet, just made for Dolly's
voice. It's from her album, "The Grass Is Blue." Just beautiful, just
about makes me cry every time I hear it -- which is pretty often, now that
I've got it in the computer here at work.
I love it. My current band does this with our female vocalist doing the
lead.

The other is "Green Light Girl" by Doyle Bramhall II. I learned this one
for a new band. Catchy hook, straight-ahead fun, this song just plain
rocks. Never knew about it until I got the practice CD.
Anyone else knocked out by anything new lately?
