You have every right in the world to get any vaccine you wish for your
family members, but who has given you the right to demand this of
others? Also, your choice of language and propensity to call names
tends to give evidence of the strength (or lack thereof) of your
argument.

The real issue is that vaccines are in general unsucessful if not
administered to a large enough percentage of the population. Due to the
fact that vaccines are not 100% effective (and in fact certain vaccines
don't work at all for some people) we're dependent upon "herd immunity"
to minimize outbreaks, control vectors, and maximize
public health.

Again, the ONLY way contagion can take place in this case is through
sexual activity. Through abstinence there is 100% effectiveness. Again,
your family can handle this situation any way that you wish. I want the
same courtesy for my family. Our decision has no effect on you or yours,
nor does your decision affect us. All I ask is that the government stay
out of private family matters.

I'm not wholly in agreement with the vaccination program, but I suspect some
schools want it because it has been found that abstinence education is as
ineffective as most realistic people knew it would be.
