Gotta love a bandleader who's realistic.
My personal irritant is the "Must be able to practice 5 nights a week and
pay a share of the rehearsal space" type ads.

I get a headache just looking at this ad from a local musicians'classified
site. Since I like all of you so much, I thought I'd share:
Headline:
stupid yet fun college/party/bar band
Emetic section:act.
If anyone is interested I'd like to start a simple bar/college/party/cover
band to play at friends' house parties, a frat house w/ which i am
associated, and some bars. this would basically be a glorified acoustic
I sing and play guitar, and would like a the set up to be drummer withstuff
guitar and bass, or just with two guitars. whatever. something simple that
sounds good, but doesnt require much practice time or commitment. a gig
every once in a while on the weekends. i also play drums and bass, so if
others wanna switch around and sing as well, thats cool. i own a drum set,
so you do even need your own. id like to play collegey covers and just
that people know. various hits, songs like mary jane's last dance, brownand
eyed girl, maybe some weezer, o.a.r., guster, dispatch. anything catchy
upbeat for drunks to enjoy.

I like the ones that say, "We don't want to be age-ist, so we'll take
anybody up to 25."
