Got any good "brush with greatness" stories?

When I was in high school I was a bus boy at a local comedy club. Rosie
O'Donnel played there a few times before she was famous. What a bitch.
Wait...you said "greatness"...nevermind.

I rode the elevator with former Speaker of the House Tip O'Neil, who didn't
bother to put out his cigar.

In Vegas I was at a bar watching dueling piano guys. Standing next to me was
this older black guy who was also digging the music - one of the few black
guys in this yuppie, white-bread piano bar. He looked somewhat familiar, but
I couldn't place him. Next thing I know they announce that Otis Day of "You
Make Me Wanna Shout" fame was in the audience and would he come up and sing.
It wasn't the guy standing next to me.
