OK, it might have happened but it wasn't due to any increased neck
tension because BEAD has less string tension than standard tuning.
(check out how floppy a B string is versus how tight a G string is!)
I'm sure necks do warp, but I'm not confident that one can give any
real reasons other than the wood decided to do it.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but I don't buy your reasoning. Say you put
five pounds of tension on strings of different thickness/weight. The heavier
string will be more floppy at the same tension. For a real life version, tie
a piece of string to a five pound weight. Let out three feet, then lift the
weight. See how much tension there is. Now try the same thing with some
nylon rope. It's much more floppy.
I haven't measured the tension of BEAD versus EADG, so I can't say which has
more overall tension. But the "look at the floppy B string" defense doesn't
quite cut it.
