If you like your rig as much as you say you do, It seems silly to me
that the seven band EQ is left flat is fine, but that a 31 band will
achieve tone nirvana. Realize that a minor eq change is not going to
effectively change your sound one noticable bit in an ensemble
situation in a room playing music. Move the cabinet a few inches in or
out from the wall. Raise it a few inches off the floor. Stand a few
feet closer, or farther away. Try different strings. For a "mid "
boost, try a low bass cut, and then turn it up a bit.
When I had the 7bands graphic on my preamp I used to boost some frequencies.
Now I'm using an ART Tube MP preamp (no eq.) and I'd like to have some
controls. As I said the flat sound is good but a small boost on some
frequencies would be nice :-p
I'm also talking about the recorded sound.
