No, he's absolutely right. If the resonant point of
the cab is below, say, Fs* for the driver, you'll get
a pole soemwhere between the resonant point of the box and Fs
for the driver, and you'll loose volume in that
pole.

They're definitional. You got two filters in series,
the response drops if they overlap.

You can always run a sim.
