Yeah, this shocked me too! I'm wondering if those JBLs in the
"special" were the type with the aluminum domes. That could account
for some of the brightness we all interpreted as aluminum speakers.
All most all of the 15's I've encountered mostly have that "A" sound
of rolled off highs. These must be quite unique. Yeah, great test and
shows how you've really got to listen to a cab if you are to judge it.
Folks who pour over specs trying to choose a cab are probably going to
end up with something that doesn't sound like they thought it would.
