It comes with the EMG pickups, but not the EMG preamp he was talking
about. It comes with a generic preamp.
I wouldn't call the Spector Tone Pump preamp 'generic'. It is one of the
most unique preamps I've used & I am very familiar with most of them. The TP
has so much gain that you can plug directly into a power amp & play a gig.
Because it's so unique, it not for everyone. I love it in my half fretless
'71 P bass & my Spector NS2K5. ymmv
