This is easy enough to fix. Boycott Wal-Mart and the like.

Not so easy in many places where Walmart has already eliminated the
competition. Walmart employees make so little they can't afford to shop
elsewhere. Walmart has become like the company store of the old coal mining
era (anyone remember "Sixteen Tons" by tennessee Ernie Dord?).
