Not always so on the back off part. I use the Headphone out signal to a
powered Monitor, of which I can control the amount of monitor I want at
all times.With our board, I can also control what comes into my monitor
at all times (other group members). I usually sing with lips touching
the mike, and only back up when putting full vocal power into the song.
Remember, USUALLY the singer has the LEAST support volume wise, trying
to compete with stacks, loud amps, and loud Drummers.
BTW Rob....you must've got a shock through a mike before...hence the
statement. As long as your Bass and P.A. are WELL grounded, this should
rarely happen.
