The ones who try to short circuit this and go straight for the "stage
presence" end up looking like ass clowns. I know, because I've played
with some of them before, and was embarassed as hell when they did a

"The Kids Are All Right") and gawd knows he earned the right to do

A bigger concern to me is camera men/women: I hate when they don't
show the bass player! 95% singer / guitarist making faces, 4% drummer,
1% bassist (ala Song Remains the Same) = me change channel.
Or even on the Letterman show. I'd love to see more of Will Lee,
Felicia, and the other guitar player and less of Paul Shaefer and the
horn section.
