Don't get me started about today's help files, compared with those from 10
years ago. To me, the underlying message in many newer ones is "Don't you
feel stupid for buying this software?" Makes me want to climb a tower with a
rifle, but spending a minute with MS Excel's help system usually calms me
down. That one was done right.

LOL, I hear ya. The worst ones are simple links to websites. MS hasn't
done too bad lately...the XP help system is decent, too. And at some
level the iTunes help probably isn't bad either, but the language
translation (Apple-speak) gets me and I don't know what terms to look
for.
