Hi Everyone!
I know there have been a few threads about programs that allow a song
to be played at 1/2 speed. I tried a couple of searches in the
archives, but wasn't sure how they might be listed. Anyone have any
ideas?
Thanks,
Cc

Your regular windows media player 9 can slow down for you. Find slider
"Variable playing speed".

Also, if you use winamp, there is a wonderful plugin called "Pacemaker"
download that and slow down, speed up, change pitch without speeding or
slowing down, etc. Great tool for on-the-fly transposing your mp3s. :)
Also
get "loopmaster" plugin while you're at it. Enables you to loop solos or
other tough parts you are trying to play-along or transcribe.

I'll second the Pacemaker and the Loopmaster plugins. The great thing about
the laterest version of Pacemaker is that it will remember the settings for
each individual mp3. I use that feature a lot for tunes that were recorded
a 1/2 step down, slightly off pitch, or just to keep me familiar with the
tunes that my band chooses to transpose.
