Equipment failure - My weekend sucked because.....

You gotta hate a mid-song implosion of your wireless set-up. The
transmitter on my Audio-Technica DR-2500 transmitter went haywire on
Friday night. I wasn't sure what was happening, so I pulled the cord
out of it and plugged it in to my bass and I still wasn't getting a
clear signal. I then bypassed my Boss CS-3 (which I did a mod on 6
months ago and since then I am completely addicted to the looong
sustain w/ no noise, but I digress) and went straight into my Sansamp
DI box (I didn't have an amp of my own, but rather I was going from the
Sansamp to the board then into 2 small mains acting as a side fill for
me and the electronic drums, I like leaving my amp at home). It worked
fine the rest of the night. I had another gig Saturday night so I got
there early to do some testing and I figured out that something was up
with the wireless. Even when I had the transmitter turned off, the
signal indicator on the base was flashing off and on erratically, so I
just bypassed it and once again something was a little fishy with the
CS-3. I hope I didn't somehow fry it.
Anyone ever have any luck repairing their wireless transmitter? I've
had this one (Audio-Technica DR-2500) for about three years and I love
being wireless as I like to work both sides of the stage when I'm not
singing.
So I guess my weekend, while lots of fun was had while playing, kinda
sucked.
Mike
