Not a big deal, but based on the UZEB thread, I thought I'd clarify a few
things about guitar synths and guitar synths for bass.

You have been reading my mind (what's left of it).
I have had a GR30 for years and a Les Paul with a GK-2 pickup.
It works great and I used it often.
Now that I am playing full time bass again I was considering getting a
GK bass pickup.
Before I invest the bucks I want to be sure that it will work with a
bass.
When I first installed the GK on my LP I had heavy strings on it and
had some trouble with tracking on the lower strings.
I changed them to 9's and no more problem.
Would the big bass strings cause trouble with tracking?
Anything else you can tell me will be greatly appreciated.
