I know I wouldn't stuff a cab full of the fiberglass stuff like I will
the polyfill... the polyfill holds together better, and doesn't
disintegrate like the pink stuff does. I should try it sometime, just
to see what it's like.
I've never had fiberglass of any kind disintegrate -- but, the yellow kind, made by Certainteed, is much denser than Owens-Corning pink. It has a lot more body, and I'm sure it affects sound waves inside the box differently than the looser pink kind. It's also cheaper, over at the ol' Home Depot.
Polyester fiberfill is much, much less dense.
