One question - what the hell is an "Esh", and is it honestly worth
upgrading?

HI.
I've just got my hands on an old Esh Stinger V. Looks like it'll be a
sweet bass once I clean it up some.
I need your help to choose a suitable aftermarket preamp for it.
HERE'S THE BASS SPECS:
Neck : Rock Maple w/mahogany Strips, Rosewood Fretboard, 24 Frets.
Body : Solid Hungarian Ash.
Pickups: Kent Armstrong + Bridge Piezzo
Preamp: Active Esh-Tronics (Vol, Tone, 2x Multi-selection Switches ->
FRIED)
Hardware: Schaller.
WHAT I WOULD LIKE IN A NEW PREAMP: (OR AS CLOSE TO IT AS POSSIBLE)
2x Vol, Tone, (or Pup Blend) Piezzo Blend w/pups
High, Mid, Bass cut/boost
Active /Passive push pull / Switch
Let me know what you think might sound good here...
Brand/Model please.
Thanks !
