I've demoed 9 & 10 but could see no real reason, besides a
prettier interface and bugs, to go beyond 8.
Version 9 isn't much different than 8, just a few nice features and maybe a little less buggy than 8.
Hmm, I haven't had any problems with 8. Do you have the updates? Or maybe I don't push it has hard as you? I just do some photo and graphics editing for my websites and the occasional favor for a friend. Hobby type stuff, not pro.
The group photo for the band I am now in is actually elements of three different shots combined into one.(Layers are so cool!) Seems tough to get everyone to smile at the same time, look in the same direction and keep their eyes open. Sheesh!
I'd get 9 over 8 if I had the choice. Ver. 10 is much changed by Corel, from what I hear, and not necessarily for the better.
I demoed it for a month and wasn't really impressed. It seemed like they were just trying to look like Photoshop. I have an older version of Photoshop that seems really cool but I can do everything I need with Paint Shop Pro 8. So far anyways.
I also keep ver. 7 around because it's a little simpler and much quicker. That was a great version.
Yup. I started by demoing 6 for a while and then buying 7. Unless they can really knock my socks off with their next version I may be running 8 for quite a while yet.
I don't know no gimp.
I tried it a few years ago, then removed it, as I didn't really need it. I just downloaded the most recent one, out of curiosity.
Yeah, I just checked out the website and got a headache.
I will visit it again later to try and figure out what the heck I need to download. Just so I can see it.
