I would recommend my behringer 300 watt head and my legion sound 8 X 10 with
horn cabinet.

Seriously, I'd go listen to as much behringer gear as I could find.
As a reference point it's excellent.
You have a good standard for tone, features, reliability.
And you have a good standard for price per performance.

The biggest mistake you can make is to not listen to a lot of gear and
compare as well as you can in as much detail as you can.

Take your time.

And you'll wind up with a sound you really want, at a price that should be
pretty damn reasonable.
