No.

Well, heat them up a little and remove gently. mmm, better yet, google
"defret bass" or something like that for step-by-step instructions with
pictures.
Or better yet, don't do it. Buy the fretless, or get it to you local
luthier and have him do the job. That's what I'm going to do (have a
luthier rectify the mess I made of defretting my Jazz Bass, twenty
bucks for replaning/leveling and another twenty for the coating).
Yes, as a veteran at "hey, wouldn't it be cool to defret my bass!" -
don't do it. Buy the fretless or have one of your old basses defretted
by an expert. Oh, and REALLY don't do it if you own only one bass.
