Sure, I do it every time for rehersal, and every gig. And it sounds "ok".
But the idea is not to lug the large boxes, mixer and cables for smaller
(smallest) gigs. The Yamaha has only one imput, meaning it can serve only as
an amp for bass, unless I take the mixer along (this also rules out the
Contra idea, even contra with two channels wouldn't be enough). The
Behringer I mentioned above has 4 imputs, which would be ok to voice the
entire band. I was only curious if my bass would sound ok through that
because the "do-it-all" amps usually sound like s''t when you plug your bass
into it.
